I believe counselling can help you manage your life issues better. I also believe that individuals should not feel pressurised into counselling. Come for an assessment session and decide whether you want to continue. You will find the rooms really pleasant.
Counselling relationships need to be holding, safe and facilitating - I work very hard to ensure that this is the experience of my clients. The quality and effectiveness of my work is monitored in regular supervision, and I have regular CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) Enhanced Checks undertaken on me.
I am a generic counsellor - that is, I work with almost any issue. I have a broad spectrum of experience covering the many sorts of issues brought to therapy and will work with most issues including:
ABUSE
ANGER
RELATIONSHIP ISSUES
DEPRESSION AND SADNESS
ANXIETY AND WORRY
STRESS AND TENSION
IDENTITY AND SELFHOOD
FUTURE CHOICES
WORKPLACE STRESS
My Experience:

I also work as a group and individual supervisor providing guidance and support to other counsellors. I regularly co-facilitate trainings for counsellors and lay-people interested in counselling and loss. I have also worked in staff and student counselling contexts within a university. I am currently applying for Accreditation with BACP to become a UKRC registered counsellor.

I can provide counselling for most issues. My face to face sessions last 50 minutes - first sessions may be a little longer. I suggest that most clients come once a week at first. I work in both a time-limited way for single focus problems (usually 8 sessions), and open-endedly for more complex issues.
